Job Description
We are a growing technology integration company based in Portland, Oregon, focusing on the physical integration of digital technology - “Where digital meets physical.” Our small team collaborates closely to achieve amazing results. We are seeking a contract Unity3D Developer to assist in the development of interactive software experiences. The ideal candidate will have strong Unity3D development experience and enjoy working on creative, cross-disciplinary projects that blend the digital and physical worlds. This short-term, contract position offers flexible hours and will focus on software development and integration tasks within Unity3D and standalone C# apps, working closely with our internal team and project leads.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience developing applications in Unity3D, preferably within the event or retail industry.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of software development fundamentals, version control, and debugging.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to work under pressure.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by event schedules.
Bonus Qualifications (Not Required):
- Experience with AR/VR development (AR Foundation, Oculus, etc.)
- Familiarity with microcontroller integration or embedded systems
- Knowledge of 3D assets, shaders, or real-time graphics optimization
- Interest in interactive installations or experiential technology
Responsibilities and Duties
- Design, develop, and implement interactive applications in Unity3D.
- Collaborate with designers, engineers, and producers to bring experiences to life.
- Integrate software with hardware systems or external APIs where required.
- Participate in testing, debugging, and optimization of interactive systems.
- Communicate technical needs and constraints clearly with project stakeholders.
- Contribute to documentation and project onboarding materials where appropriate.
- Help support operations team in diagnosing and resolving software bugs and issues.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends in event tech and retail experiences.
