Job Description

LionStar Films is seeking 20 freelance video editors and 5 motion graphics artists for a quick turn video project editing 20 short “comedic spoof” videos for a corporate client. Editors will work with storyboards and raw user-generated footage to produce a 90-second video overnight, under the supervision of a Post Production Supervisor. The working location will be the ballroom of the Charles Hotel in Boston, Massachusetts, lasting from 7 PM until individual work is completed.

Each editor will edit footage shot by the client on the same day, transforming it into a short story not exceeding 2 minutes. The project is time-sensitive, requiring a fast turnaround for a presentation at an awards ceremony the following morning. Applicants are expected to be comfortable with quick turns in editing and must provide a current demo reel to be considered.

Pay for this project is $600, and parking fees will be reimbursed. Editors are responsible for their own transportation to and from the location.

Responsibilities

  • Edit a short 2-minute video using user-generated content from the client, ready for viewing the next morning.
  • Transport themselves to and from the location.

Requirements

  • 1-5 years of experience in digital design.
  • Must be able to work on location.
  • Strong Adobe Premiere skills.
  • Strong Adobe After Effects experience is a plus.
  • Strong creative thinking skills with a range of styles and techniques.
  • Able to create high-quality content, efficient editing is non-negotiable.
  • Understanding of video formats and compression techniques.
  • Able to absorb creative direction while contributing unique ideas to projects.
  • Understanding of brands and producing work suitable in style.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively with the creative team.
  • Highly organized with attention to detail.

Additional Information

This project will take place on the evening of December 16th, 2025. Each video is expected to take around 6 hours to complete based on previous similar projects.
