Job Description

PMT Digital is a fast-growing creative agency in Texas specializing in social-first marketing, working with various local businesses to create standout content. We are expanding our post-production team and seeking a dedicated Video Editor with strong typography and motion graphics skills. This role is focused solely on editing, as you will work with raw footage delivered by our team to create polished short-form videos for platforms such as Instagram Reels, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube Shorts. The ideal candidate will thrive in a team that values speed, creativity, and consistency.

Requirements

What You’ll Do:

• Edit short-form vertical videos (Reels/TikToks/Shorts) with strong pacing and storytelling.
• Select impactful clips, arrange sequences, cut efficiently, and match brand style.
• Add captions, text overlays, subtitles, and timing-based text animations.
• Edit based on hooks, trends, and platform best practices.

Typography & Motion Graphics:

• Create clean, modern text animations and lower-thirds.
• Apply strong font design, alignment, spacing, color matching, and layout.
• Build motion graphic elements that elevate the final video.
• Maintain brand consistency across multiple clients.

Content Adaptation:

• Reformat videos for different platforms.
• Organize footage, maintain file naming, and follow internal editing workflow.
• Add sound design, music, and pacing that fits the content style.

Who You Are:

• Experienced with CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or DaVinci.
• Skilled in motion graphics (After Effects is a plus).
• Strong understanding of font design, typography, and modern social aesthetics.
• Able to turn raw footage into clean, high-performing social content.
• Fast, reliable, organized, and detail-oriented.
• Understands modern social trends, pacing, and viral video structure.
• Able to work independently and meet consistent weekly deadlines.

Bonus Points:

• Experience editing for restaurants, real estate, automotive, or local businesses.
• Ability to create branded templates and reusable motion assets.
• Basic graphic design skills (Canva, Illustrator, etc.).
• Knowledge of ad creative formats for Meta and TikTok.
