Fullstack Developer [Searching]

Full Stack Developer is needed in Stockholm, Sweden.

We are a small medtech company based in Stockholm working to improve sepsis management. Our technology helps hospitals detect and respond to sepsis earlier - and we’re now preparing for our first integration with a U.S. hospital. To make that happen, we’re looking for an experienced freelance developer to join us on a four-month, full-time contract, with potential for extension.

You’ll be working closely with a compact technical team—a Cloud Architect and a Backend/Machine Learning Engineer—to help us clear out our backlog and strengthen the product ahead of hospital integration. Expect a mix of hands-on engineering tasks: increasing test coverage, refactoring and cleaning up legacy code and databases, building new features, and occasionally lending a hand with frontend work. The role may also include participating in technical discussions with hospital IT teams, helping to clarify integration details, data flows, and security requirements. Our stack includes Python, AWS, Terraform, React, and PostgreSQL. We value developers who can work independently, bring structure to complexity, and keep a steady hand as we prepare our systems for clinical environments.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software development
• Strong skills in Python and AWS
• Experience with IaC, CI/CD, containerization, React and relational databases
• Comfortable with test writing, debugging, and general system improvements
• Pragmatic, dependable, and able to self-organize
• Confident communicating with external technical stakeholders when needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in medtech or with personal health data in a production environment
• Integration experience with Epic (EHR software) or other healthcare systems
• Experience working in regulated or compliance driven environments

Practical details

• Start: As soon as possible
• Scope: Full-time, 4-month contract (extension possible)
• Location: Stockholm, Sweden – remote accepted, hybrid preferred
• Language: Swedish is strongly preferred; English fluency required
• Engagement: Contractor/freelance/consultancy arrangement (own company or invoicing setup required)
