Job Description
Ideate and create concepts for traditional video formats and social media videos. Assist in the direction and production of video and photography shoots and video deliverables. Coordinate and collaborate with Social Media, Web, Creative, Media, and PR teams to create compelling and forward-thinking content. Spend time understanding clients, their business, and their expectations. Identify department growth opportunities, new tools, and processes and help with implementation. Maintain a big-picture outlook with a clear understanding of client goals and needs when working on projects. Research industry-related topics and represent the agency in the outside world. Edit digital footage seamlessly to keep viewers engaged and develop knowledge of editing techniques while maintaining a high level of innovation and creative risk-taking in video content creation. Analyze scripts, concepts, inspiration, and direction to assemble raw footage based on scene significance and continuity. Incorporate music, graphics, voiceovers, and effects to enhance the video. Engage with stakeholders throughout the production to post-production phases and contribute ideas to an inspiration repository for reference and sharing with the creative team and clients.
Requirements
- Knowledge and experience shooting and editing social media video content.
- Experience using a DSLR to produce quality video footage.
- Working knowledge of basic lighting best practices, with experience lighting sets for different types of video content (e.g., interviews, lifestyle, social media videography).
- Experience with video production and post-production processes, including editing, color correction, and music selection.
- Familiarity with color grading and color correction to create consistent color tones or styles throughout a video.
- Strong design skills and proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, After Effects).
- A passion for staying up-to-date with emerging trends and industry developments.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to articulate and present creative ideas and concepts internally, as well as directly to clients with the support of the TJA team.
- Ability to work in a productivity-focused and deadline-driven environment.
- Efficient time management skills.
- A self-starter personality with attention to detail, natural inquisitiveness, and high comfort level with asking questions.
- Proactively identifies new opportunities on social channels and keeps up with emerging trends and culture.
- Collaborating with other teams to deliver high-quality creative work, including copywriters, media planners, and digital specialists.
- Proven work experience as a Videographer/Video Editor with a clean and well-presented portfolio showcasing skills.
- In-depth understanding of timing, motivation, and continuity in video editing.
- Possess a creative mindset and strong storytelling abilities.
