Job Description

We are seeking a creative and technically savvy Remote Video Editor to join our fast-growing content studio. In this role, you will turn raw footage, graphics, and audio into polished, on-brand video experiences that power our marketing campaigns, product launches, and educational series. Reporting directly to the Senior Manager of Creative Production, you will partner with copywriters, motion designers, product marketers, and brand strategists to ensure every piece of video aligns with our visual narrative and business objectives. Your work will be viewed by thousands of customers worldwide, directly influencing brand perception and driving measurable engagement metrics. This is a fully remote position, but our core team is headquartered in Morgan Hill, California, giving you a localized point of contact while enjoying the flexibility of a distributed workplace.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Film Production, Communications, or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • 3–5 years of professional video editing experience in a fast-paced agency or in-house setting.
  • Mastery of Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, and Final Cut Pro (must be able to switch between them fluidly).
  • Proven ability to deliver high-volume content (minimum 10 finished videos per month) while meeting tight deadlines.
  • Strong understanding of post-production processes: color grading, audio mixing, motion graphics, and media encoding.
  • Excellent storytelling instincts and a keen eye for visual composition, rhythm, and pacing.
  • Experience with Frame.io or similar review platforms for collaborative feedback cycles.
  • Proficiency in project management tools such as Jira, Asana, or Monday.com, with a track record of maintaining 85% async communication for remote teams.
  • Reliable high-speed internet (minimum 25 Mbps download / 5 Mbps upload) and a workstation capable of 4K editing.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification in Adobe Certified Expert (ACE) for Premiere Pro or After Effects.
  • Background in motion graphics or 3D animation (Cinema 4D, Blender) for added visual depth.
  • Experience producing e-learning or product demo videos for SaaS platforms.
  • Familiarity with audio post-production tools such as Audition or Pro Tools.
  • Demonstrated leadership: mentorship of junior editors or coordination of a small editing squad.
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) and closed-captioning best practices.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary Range: $68,000 – $92,000 annually.
