Job Description

Trailer Park Group is a full-service agency specializing in content creation and entertainment marketing. The Senior Assistant Editor position at One Studio requires the individual to perform a wide range of tasks across all the Trailer Park Group Divisions, such as general I/O to and from clients, transcoding assets for editorial use, social resizes, and various editorial tasks. This is an in-person position due to the handling of high-security titles.

Responsibilities

• Create projects for editors with all project’s media and client’s branding
• Create audio and video finishing preps for across all the Trailer Park Group Divisions
• Create social resizes (in-platform, 16x9, 1x1, 4x5, 9x16, 9x16TT)
• Create scripts, SRTs, and Burn-in Captions
• Identify and troubleshoot asset discrepancies related to fonts, localization, ratings, frame rates, color, resolution, and codecs
• Participate in the creation of video final deliverables
• Responsible for the migration efforts of legacy content or new business unit content; in charge of exporting and archiving content
• Create media management of current projects for archival
• Learn and follow Trailer Park’s organization of network, SAN storage, and asset management
• Learn and follow Trailer Park’s security requirements and procedures

Qualifications

• 3+ years of assistant editor experience, preferably within a theatrical marketing environment
• Extensive knowledge of Adobe Premiere; Avid Media Composer knowledge is a plus
• Understanding of frame rates, timecode, aspect ratios, resolutions, video scanning (interlaced vs progressive), and color spaces
• Basic knowledge of audio programs (Pro Tools, Adobe Audition) is a plus
• Airtable knowledge is a plus
• Ability to work independently, with good communication skills and the ability to prioritize and multitask
• Willingness and ability to work overtime with little notice
• Willingness to work “on-call” one weekend a month (paid)

Additional Information

Please note this freelance position requires on-site/in-office work in Hollywood, California.

Hours: 1:30pm-10:00pm, with the possibility of working until midnight.
