Contract: Temporary, Contract, Freelance

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Video Editor to join us on-site at our headquarters in Van Nuys. This short-term contract is ideal for an editor who thrives in fast-paced, story-driven sports environments and can craft high-energy cuts designed for social media and future long-form projects.

You’ll work hands-on with the VeniceBall and Hoopbus creative team to sort through a large archive of basketball footage, establish naming/organizational systems, pull selects, and edit action-packed content for platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. Your work will also help build a long-term footage archive supporting documentaries and storytelling projects.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of editing experience (sports, trailers, TV, or film preferred)
  • Strong ability to cut dynamic, fast-paced visual stories
  • Experience editing short-form social content
  • Comfortable organizing and managing large media libraries
  • Proficient in Premiere Pro or Final Cut (DaVinci Resolve is a plus)
  • Strong sense of rhythm, pacing, and visual storytelling
  • Passion for basketball, streetball culture, and LA hoops is a major plus
  • Must be able to work on-site in Van Nuys

Contract Details

  • 4-week contract
  • $1,000/week ($4,000 total)
  • Approximately 20/25 hours/week (on-site) 15-20 hours off-site

Candidates should be based in or near Van Nuys / greater LA area.
