Who You Are:

• Proficient in Python/Java or similar language, with expertise in language constructs and problem-solving.

What You’ll Do:

• Collaborate in a fast-paced environment where ideas are openly discussed and challenged.
• Deliver new features and improve the reliability of core services.
• Identify and proactively address system bottlenecks and flaws in business logic.
• Take ownership of core product problems, develop impactful solutions, and validate solutions through data.
• Work across the stack to solve problems independently.
• Lead a team of Developers to engineer and develop software for complex user problems.
• Effectively communicate technical decisions and trade-offs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Evidence of Engineering Accomplishment:

• Track record of delivering high-impact software solutions in professional settings.
• Experience designing and implementing distributed systems, including storage, caching, and application layers.
• Verifiable experience with microservice architectures in high-throughput, low-latency systems.
• Portfolio showcasing expertise in system transformations.
• Experience with complex systems migrations across multiple phases.

Technical Excellence:

• Expert-level proficiency in at least one modern programming language (Java, Python, or similar).
• Expert-level proficiency in cloud engineering paradigms and secure service integration patterns.
• Deep understanding of design patterns, reliability, and scaling principles.
• Strong architectural and system design capabilities.

Leadership & Communication:

• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Experience mentoring engineers or leading technical teams.
• Ability to influence technical direction and advocate for sound engineering practices.

Adaptability & Growth:

• History of learning and adapting to new technologies and methodologies.
• Embraces AI and automation tools for enhanced productivity.
• Comfort with ambiguity and willingness to explore new problem domains.

Additional Information

Job Types: Contract, Temporary

Experience:

• Java: 10 years (Required)
• AI: 10 years (Preferred)
• Team lead: 5 years (Preferred)

Pay: $35.00 - $43.00 per hour

Security clearance: Confidential (Preferred)
