Job Description
Cellulant is seeking a talented and experienced Freelance UX/UI Designer to collaborate on various exciting digital payment and consumer-facing product initiatives. This 100% remote role offers the flexibility to work on high-impact projects, shaping intuitive and engaging user experiences for our diverse African markets. You will be instrumental in transforming complex ideas into user-friendly interfaces, contributing directly to the success of our innovative platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct user research, interviews, and usability testing to understand user needs and behaviors.
- Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, and sitemaps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas.
- Design intuitive and aesthetically pleasing user interfaces for web and mobile applications, ensuring consistency with brand guidelines.
- Develop prototypes to test and iterate on design solutions.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders throughout the product lifecycle.
- Present and defend design decisions to project teams and stakeholders.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest UX/UI trends, techniques, and technologies.
Requirements
Required Skills
- Proven UX/UI design experience with a strong portfolio showcasing a variety of projects.
- Proficiency in design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD).
- Solid understanding of user-centered design principles, information architecture, and usability best practices.
- Experience conducting user research and translating insights into design solutions.
- Strong visual design skills with an excellent eye for typography, color, and layout.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience designing for fintech, e-commerce, or mobile payment platforms.
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript capabilities.
- Experience with motion design or animation for user interfaces.
- Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
