Job Description

We’re looking for a creative, story-driven Short-Form Video Editor to join our team. You’ll be working directly with a fast-growing health and beauty brand in the skincare niche—creating content that feels native to TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts. Our tone is humble, down-to-earth, and rooted in real stories. Everything we produce is meant to feel authentic and attention-grabbing.

If you understand how to hook people in the first seconds, tell stories visually, and bring a brand to life through short-form content, this role is for you.

In this role, you’ll turn raw footage into scroll-stopping videos that feel natural, honest, and on-trend. You’ll play a major part in shaping the look, feel, and growth of our brand across all platforms.

We move quickly—so fast turnaround times are important. We prefer someone who is familiar with the Eastern Time Zone or able to work in sync with it.

This is a paid position working with a passionate team that values creativity, clarity, and speed.

Requirements

Responsibilities:

• Edit raw footage into polished, native content for TikTok, Reels, and YouTube Shorts.
• Create both organic storytelling videos and platform-specific ad creatives.
• Maintain strong hooks, pacing, and attention-grabbing intros.
• Stay up to date with current trends, sounds, editing styles, and platform patterns.
• Add captions, motion graphics, and sound design when needed.
• Keep media assets organized and maintain efficient workflow.
• Work closely with the content team and founders to align on brand voice and creative direction.
• Perform color correction and audio cleanup for brand consistency.
• Assist with offering shot suggestions when needed.
• Deliver high-quality content within tight deadlines.

Preferred Skills:

• Strong proficiency in video editing software (Premiere Pro, Final Cut, CapCut Desktop, etc.).
• Ability to make both organic content and high-performing ad creatives.
• Proven experience growing brand accounts (followers, views, engagement).
• Strong understanding of TikTok-native editing, storytelling, and social-first pacing.
• Knowledge of trends, formats, transitions, and what makes content perform.
• Ability to work quickly, adapt fast, and meet frequent deadlines.

Nice to Have:

• Editing experience in the beauty, skincare, or wellness niche.
• Familiarity with UGC-style content and authentic, down-to-earth brand voices.
• Eastern Time Zone availability or ability to maintain ET-friendly working hours.
