Job Description
The position involves responsibilities as a Video Camera Operator and Director, primarily focusing on capturing and producing high-quality video content. This includes managing all aspects of video production from pre-production planning to post-production finalization. Duties encompass operating cameras, setting up lighting and audio, and using editing software for assembling and enhancing the final product. Filming typically takes place in collaboration with the client’s in-house studio team at their Poway, CA production facility, featuring executive interviews and leadership messaging for various media platforms. Post-production requires expertise in editing, sound, color correction, motion graphics, and delivery.
Requirements
**Qualifications:**Typically requires a two-year degree in a related discipline or trade school equivalent and twelve or more years of experience in a related field. Equivalent related work experience may be substituted for education. Applicants should have 5+ years of professional video editing experience, preferably in an agency or fast-paced in-house environment. A Bachelor’s Degree in Film & Television Production, Digital Media, Multimedia Arts, Video Production, Communication Arts, Graphic Design, or Visual Communications is preferred.
- **Skills:**Expert in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Audition); experience with DaVinci Resolve or Final Cut Pro is a plus.
- Strong storytelling abilities and attention to detail, pacing, and tone.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience with high-volume content production.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Proficient in motion graphics or animation skills.
- **Additional Certifications:**Adobe Certified Professional (Premiere Pro, After Effects)
- DaVinci Resolve (Color Grading) Certification
- Motion Graphics or VFX short courses (e.g., School of Motion, FXPHD)
Duties and Responsibilities for Editors
