Job Description

We are a luxury wedding photography and videography studio seeking a talented Wedding Video Editor with strong experience in creating emotional, engaging, and culturally relevant wedding films. Our clients are primarily African-American couples, and the majority request wedding videos edited to R&B, Afrobeat, Rap, Caribbean, and other urban genres. If you are experienced in storytelling through music and can deliver cinematic edits that feel modern, soulful, and energetic—this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit 1-minute teaser videos (due within 72 hours of receiving footage).
• Edit 6–8 minute highlight films showcasing the full wedding story.
• Sync and assemble raw ceremony footage for the couple to rewatch their full ceremony (light assembly only; no advanced editing required).
• Use music that aligns with our brand style and client preferences, especially: R&B, Afrobeat, Rap / Hip-Hop, Caribbean genres, and other culturally relevant or urban styles.
• Deliver polished, color-graded, high-quality videos that match our luxury brand aesthetic.
• Communicate clearly and meet deadlines with consistency.
• Work remotely with your own professional editing setup.

Requirements

• Professional experience editing wedding videos (required).
• Strong portfolio demonstrating edits using R&B, Afrobeat, Rap, Caribbean, or similar genres.
• Ability to deliver fast turnaround teasers (72 hours).
• Skilled in cinematic storytelling, pacing, and emotional music selection.
• Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut, DaVinci Resolve, or comparable editing software.
• Reliable, organized, and able to work independently.

Compensation

• $1,300 per project.

Each project includes:

• One (1) 1-minute teaser video.
• One (1) 6–8 minute highlight film.
• Assembly of raw ceremony footage (audio synced, clips organized for viewing).

Additional projects will be assigned based on performance and availability.
