Job Description
The Packaging Designer at (MALIN+GOETZ) is responsible for creating sustainable, inspiring, and innovative package designs. This role requires a strong creative vision that brings concepts to life and tells a story through design. The Packaging Designer will work closely with packaging engineers, product innovation leaders, and the creative team, handling branding related projects and contributing from initial concept to final product display in stores worldwide.
Requirements
Education/Experience:
- 3+ years’ experience in design; a bachelor’s degree in graphic or visual design is required.
- Previous packaging design experience is essential.
- Passion for the beauty industry.
- Driven and creative individual with experience in innovative package design in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to meet tight timelines, manage multiple projects, and work productively in a team setting.
- Very strong organizational skills.
- Ability to receive and give creative direction.
- Strong understanding of branding, design codes, and visual vocabulary.
- Appreciation for typography.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Create strategic and innovative ideas for primary and secondary packaging components.
- Collaborate with the Product Innovation Team and VP of Creative to review designs for aesthetic and functional alignment.
- Maintain consistent product and packaging standards across various product lines and campaigns.
- Lead the refinement of package designs in conjunction with development and packaging teams while considering time and costs.
- Assist in presenting designs to cross-functional teams, including creating 3D renderings and comprehensive comps.
- Adhere to approved style guides and adapt artwork while maintaining original intent and specifications.

Benefits
- The estimated hourly rate for this position is $50 - $60.

Language Requirements
Ability to read and interpret various documents, write reports, and effectively communicate in group settings.
Mathematical Ability
Competence in basic arithmetic, ratio and percent calculations, and interpreting bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to understand and carry out instructions effectively in various formats and resolve problems that involve several concrete variables.
Computer Skills
Proficiency in MS Office, Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This role does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment

Physical Demands
