Job Description
Looking for an editor with a strong sense of emotion, rhythm, music, and pacing. We make wedding films with a mix of candid/fun/romantic moments and lots of little audio snippets. We would love someone who ideally (but not necessarily) has experience editing wedding films, and who can distinguish a cheesy, cookie-cutter video from a cool one. We often emulate a film-y look and also sometimes super 8, so the ability to color is key! We are mostly doing 4-5 minute edits at a rate of $800/edit.
Requirements
- Experience in editing some videos that are good.
- Proficiency in DaVinci Resolve.
- Willingness and ability to take feedback and adjust accordingly.
- Ability to recognize pacing, knowing when to linger on a moment and when to use fast-paced cuts.
- Ability to manage deadlines.
- An eye for color grading, with experience in adjusting light curves, color wheels, temperature/tint, glow, and film grain.
- An ear for basic sound design.
Additional Information
Pay: $40.00 - $60.00 per hour
Expected hours: 1.0 – 40.0 per week
