Job Description

This is a remote position. Phoenix Support Services is seeking an experienced and creative video editor to join our team! You will be responsible for creating short promo videos using a software drag and drop platform.

The Video Editor works as part of the Web Development Team and reports to the Team Manager. Specific tasks include:

• Designing web pages, brochures, logos, signs, books, magazine covers, annual reports, advertisements, and other communication materials;
• Creating materials by hand or using technology, including computer software programs;
• Meeting with web designers to understand their proposed web pages and incorporating illustrations, videos, and designs to reflect the desired theme;
• Producing drafts for review by clients and making revisions based on feedback;
• Reviewing final productions for errors and ensuring layouts reflect client specifications;
• Conceptualizing visuals based on requirements;
• Preparing rough drafts and presenting ideas;
• Using appropriate colors and layouts for videos;
• Working with copywriters and creative director to produce the final design;
• Amending designs after feedback;
• Ensuring final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on-brand;
• Creating and developing multimedia content for various projects, including customer stories, promotional videos, corporate training, etc.;
• Working independently and as part of a team to establish project deliverables;
• Recording and editing video and sound projects, including organizing raw media and integrating graphics and audio.

Requirements

• 3 years of experience as a graphics designer or in a similar role;
• Mastery of graphic design software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe Premiere Pro, etc.;
• Knowledge of video and audio editing software programs is a big plus;
• Solid knowledge of design and visual principles;
• Demonstrated portfolio showing creative, design, and software skills;
• Ability to evaluate choices critically, keeping the customer’s needs in mind;
• Ability to communicate design choices clearly;
• Ability to take and follow direction with a creative eye for improvements;
• Good time-management skills;
• Great interpersonal and communication skills;
• Great multi-tasking skills and ability to work under pressure;
• General understanding of computers and digital equipment, and knowledge of new and cutting-edge technology.
