Job Description

Après Media is dedicated to showcasing the best of Canada’s destinations, experiences, and hidden gems through high-quality digital storytelling. We’re growing our online presence across YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and LinkedIn – and we’re looking for a skilled videographer to help bring our brand to life. Position: Videographer – Après Media

Location: Flexible/Remote (Travel Required)

Type: Contract Position (depending on applicant)

Travel: 1–2 trips per month (average 2–3 days each)

The Videographer/video editor will play a key role in elevating Après Media’s online presence through compelling long-form and short-form video content. This role involves on-location filming, efficient post-production, and close collaboration with our internal team to ensure all assets meet brand standards.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Content Production & Storytelling:
  • Collaborate with the Après Media team to develop storyboards and shot lists prior to filming.
  • Film on location for Après Destination and Check This Place Out content (2–3 days per project).
  • Produce high-quality long-form YouTube videos (20–30 minutes each).
  • Create set # of short-form assets per project (reels, TikToks, YouTube Shorts).
  • Ensure all deliverables meet agreed-upon timelines and creative expectations.
  • Editing & Delivery:
  • Complete timely edits based on collaborative feedback from the Après Media team.
  • Incorporate brand guidelines and story goals into all final cuts.
  • Upload and deliver all approved files by scheduled deadlines.
  • Travel Requirements:
  • Travel 1–2 times per month for filming.
  • Trips last approximately 2–3 days.
  • Must be comfortable carrying gear, shooting outdoors, and adapting to fast-moving environments.
  • Costs covered by Après Media (transportation, accommodations, and standard travel needs).

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in videography, editing, and storytelling.
  • Proficiency with cameras, lighting, audio, and drone work (asset but not required).
  • Strong skills in Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
  • Strong understanding of social-first video formats.
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and collaborate efficiently.
  • Comfortable with travel and flexible hours based on shoot schedules.
