Job Description

The CBS owned and operated duopoly in West Sacramento has an immediate opening for a news editor to work for CBS 13 and our independent 31. Candidates should have a strong background in putting compelling stories together for our viewers. More than three years television news experience required. (Please do not apply if you do not have a background in television news).

Requirements

• 3 years television experience editing news and special features.
• Sound journalistic judgment.
• An eye for visual storytelling.
• Deadline oriented.
• Proficient non-linear editor.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work any shift, including mornings, nights, and weekends at a moment’s notice.

Additional Information

Hiring Salary Range: $18.0 - 25.0.

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
