Job Description

GrandSlam Wrestling is looking for a Junior Video Editor to support our growing digital and live event content output. This is a freelance, flexible role suited to someone with around 1 year of video editing experience who is looking to build their portfolio within live sports and entertainment. The role will involve a mix of attending live wrestling events to film content and office-based editing days to produce engaging video for YouTube and social media platforms. There are no fixed hours. Work will be scheduled around event dates and content needs, typically averaging 1–2 shows per month, with flexibility to scale up or down depending on touring schedules.

Key Responsibilities

• Attend selected GrandSlam Wrestling live events to film matches, promos, and behind-the-scenes content.
• Edit long-form content for YouTube.
• Create short-form vertical videos for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.
• Assist with highlight packages, social clips, and promotional videos.
• Manage and organise footage efficiently.
• Deliver content to agreed deadlines while maintaining brand consistency.

Required Skills & Experience

• Around 1 year of video editing experience (professional, freelance, or educational).
• Comfortable using your own preferred editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, etc.).
• Basic understanding of social media video formats (horizontal and vertical).
• Willing and able to film live events using your own camera equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Interest in wrestling, live events, or sports content (highly desirable).

Essential Requirements

• Full UK driving license.
• Own computer and software for editing.
• Based in the South of England.
• Willing to travel to event venues (travel expenses paid).
• Able to work flexibly, including occasional evenings and weekends.

Contract & Pay

Freelance / self-employed, ad hoc work with no guaranteed hours. Rates dependent on experience. Travel expenses covered for event attendance.
