Contract: Temporary, Seasonal

Job Description

This is a temporary/part-time, non-exempt position limited to 1300 hours annually. The Temp Social Media Content Creator works in the Pueblo Police Department under the supervision of the PD Community Engagement Manager. Responsibilities include planning, drafting, filming, editing, and posting social media content on various platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and X (formerly Twitter). The role also involves collaborating with internal work groups to enhance the image of the Pueblo Police Department.

Requirements

Education: A high school diploma or GED is required.

Experience: A minimum of one year of successful work experience operating an organization’s social media platforms.

Licensure: A valid driver’s license at the time of application and a valid Colorado driver’s license within 30 days of employment is necessary. Any license restrictions that hinder your ability to drive on City business may result in disqualification.

Physical Requirements:

  • Work is mostly sedentary but requires frequent movements, including standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, or stooping.
  • Ability to lift, carry, transport, push and/or pull objects weighing up to 45 lbs.
  • Must be able to hear communication and have the vision to work with written documents.

Special Conditions:

  • Must maintain all required licenses and certifications throughout employment, and notify the City regarding any changes to license status.
  • Must not have been convicted of or have pending charges for any felony or misdemeanor crimes that would restrict access to criminal justice information.

Example of Duties

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Planning, drafting, and editing social media content/graphics.
  • Contributing to social media engagement by researching and posting on-trend content.
  • Responding to social media comments, messages, and questions professionally.
  • Assisting with graphic design for recruitment materials.
  • Collaborating with Pueblo Police Department’s public information and crime prevention officers.
  • Collecting and analyzing social media data, providing reports.
  • Drafting press releases and ensuring ADA compliance for posts.

Important Functions

Employee may perform similar duties of equal or lower pay grade, work outside of normal business hours, or participate in community events.
