We are looking for a part-time freelance social content creator to work alongside the Investment Association’s press team to build our social media presence on LinkedIn and Instagram. The focus will be on creating high-quality and engaging visual content that appeals to a broad range of audiences, including policymakers, professionals in the investment sector, and the general public. You will plan and produce creative content, script and edit short-form videos, and help influence our social media strategy. We value creativity, accuracy, and knowledge of social media trends. It is important that you can occasionally travel to our offices near London Liverpool Street for filming, estimated at two days per month.

Who are you, and what do you do?
We are looking for a part-time freelance social content creator to work alongside the Investment Association’s press team to build our social media presence on LinkedIn and Instagram through the creation of high-quality, creative and engaging visual content. Our channels reach a variety of audiences, including policymakers and those working within the investment management industry, to the broader public who may benefit from learning more about investing. Our content needs to be informative, engaging and deliver our key messages to these audiences, demonstrating the value of investing to individuals, companies and the wider economy. Key responsibilities: Plan and produce creative content across our LinkedIn and Instagram to reach and grow our audiences, in line with the IA’s brand and voice. Create, script and edit social-first, short-form videos. Provide insights and recommendations to help support and influence social media strategy. Provide advice on best practice to ensure consistent quality and optimal performance of content. Explore opportunities to expand our presence through new features on existing channels. About You: We’re not looking for an expert on investing, but someone who has an interest in personal finance, who can translate information on this topic into creative and engaging content for a variety of audiences. Proven video editing and creation skills. Demonstrated experience managing a social calendar and creating original content. Commitment to producing factually accurate, typo-free content. Knowledge of the latest social media trends and how these could be translated for our audiences. Ability to come to the IA offices near London Liverpool Street to film content with our content hosts (estimated two days per month).
