Job Description

We are a Colorado-based content strategy team looking for a freelance editor who excels in bold, cinematic storytelling. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in Premiere Pro and have a creative mindset that extends beyond basic editing, focusing on crafting visually compelling narratives. This role involves working collaboratively under the Just Dream umbrella, with clear briefs and project direction provided. The editor will focus on fast-paced edits and high-touch corporate content while maintaining proactive communication and meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Edit and assemble footage into polished, impactful videos that align with client goals.
• Collaborate directly with our team to understand objectives, tone, timelines, and deliverables.
• Work from provided briefs, selects, scripts/structure, and revision notes to elevate the story.
• Execute smooth, intentional edits with various cuts and transitions that support the story.
• Incorporate motion graphics, text overlays, and light visual effects.
• Maintain organized project files and consistently meet deadlines.
• Stay current with editing trends relevant to social media and corporate branding.

Experience

• Mastery of Adobe Premiere Pro (non-negotiable).
• Strong grasp of pacing, rhythm, and storytelling.
• Experience with corporate content, promo reels, or brand films (preferred).
• Bonus for editing high-energy, music-led content.
• A clean, organized portfolio that demonstrates creativity and attention to detail (required).

Required Skills

• Premiere Pro expertise.
• Portfolio or reels (must be attached).
• Ability to accept feedback and iterate.
• Understanding of pacing, music-driven edits, and clean transitions.
• Basic audio cleanup and mix.
• Basic color correction.

Preferred Skills

• After Effects (motion graphics basics).
• Experience with corporate narrative editing.
• Color grading (look development beyond basic correction).
• Sound design polish (SFX, ambience, transitions).
