Job Description

As a Senior Technical Designer on EA SPORTS College Football, you will be a hands-on creator, building new presentation features and complex systems while collaborating with design, engineering, and content teams from concept through live tuning.

Responsibilities

  • Work with designers, engineers, and other creatives to develop and innovate on compelling gameplay systems.
  • Implement and drive gameplay systems and/or modes from concept to ship quality.
  • Align and collaborate with multiple disciplines and communicate the vision of gameplay features.
  • Ensure a high-quality release through bug fixing, balancing, and creating a fun gameplay experience.
  • Pitch ideas, provide feedback, and contribute to rapid iteration with the team.
  • Build all-new innovative College Football experiences that integrate cleanly into the core game.
  • Quick prototype building of new features and create robust scripting-driven implementations.

Requirements

  • Experience with scripting languages (such as Lua, Python, Javascript, and/or other scripting languages).
  • Worked on multiple shipped titles as a Technical Designer.
  • Passion for crafting gameplay systems, mechanics, and game modes.
  • Familiarity, passion, and knowledge of American Football and football products.
  • Expertise in comprehending the game design process, specifically with game mechanics and design theory.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with content-driven game engines (Unreal, Frostbite, Unity, GtkRadiant).
  • Ability to read and understand C++.
  • Experience developing and working in a multiplayer live service environment.
