Job Description

This is a 100% onsite position located in Woodlawn, MD. The selected candidate must be willing to work on-site five days a week. The role involves designing and developing software applications using the Twelve-Factor App methodology based on functional requirements. Key responsibilities include:

• Creating innovative UI designs and web components through collaboration.
• Implementing Graphical User Interfaces using various technologies (JSP, HTML, CSS, etc.).
• Developing microservices using Spring Boot and RESTful architecture.
• Using CI/CD tools for version control, build, and deployment in cloud environments.
• Maintaining Enterprise Java Batch applications and developing SOAP-based web services.
• Creating test frameworks for APIs and developing unit test cases.
• Documenting solution architecture and providing technical inputs in meetings.
• Guiding junior developers and contributing to operational plans.

Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience with a Master’s or Doctorate.
• 10+ years of extensive experience in Java, Spring Boot, Angular, and React.
• Hands-on experience with one or more frameworks such as AngularJS, jQuery, and ReactJS.
• Experience in Agile projects and knowledge of Agile terminology and tools.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.

Required Skills:

• Experience in Single-Page Application Architecture and responsive web design.
• Knowledge of designing and deploying cloud-native applications on AWS.
• Deep understanding of PaaS offerings like Red Hat OpenShift and Docker.
• Experience with modern CI tools (Jenkins, Git/Bitbucket, Jira, etc.).
• Familiarity with Web Services Technologies and Security protocols.
• Hands-on experience in Microservices and RESTful API development.
• Proficiency in automated unit testing and various development frameworks.
• Experience in addressing technical debts and securing web applications.
• Knowledge in performance tuning and building scalable applications.

Desired Skills:

• Experience with Section 508 standards for Web Applications.
• Writing technical documentation and system design documents.
• Experience with IT projects for federal or state governments.
• Familiarity with low code platforms like ServiceNow and MS Power Platform.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
