Job Description

OpenDor Media is looking for freelance video editors to join our team and help create entertaining educational YouTube and social media videos about Judaism and Israel. We seek individuals with previous experience in creating YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok videos; those with a proven track record of producing content with strong retention and high views. The ideal video editor will keep the bigger picture in mind while implementing notes and suggestions, be a team player, yet self-motivated, and passionate about helping realize the creative vision through their editing. This position is remote.

Requirements

1. Experience in editing short and long videos for YouTube exclusively in Adobe Premiere Pro.

2. Proficiency in editing videos for Instagram and TikTok using their native platforms.

3. Ability to edit host’s narration, choose the best takes, and ensure seamless audio quality.

4. Skills in researching and gathering material such as b-roll footage and archival images while understanding legal usage on YouTube and social media.

5. Collaboration skills with the motion graphics team when needed.

6. Basic color correction knowledge.

7. Capacity to search for and edit music into videos as required.

8. Sound editing and mixing skills for the final sequence.

9. In some cases, act as an assistant editor to gather materials, choose selects, and lay down subtitles.
