Job Description

AgileEngine is an Inc. 5000 company that creates award-winning software for Fortune 500 brands and trailblazing startups across 17+ industries. As a Middle/Senior Full Stack Engineer (Java/React.js), you will play a key role in shaping a beta-stage enterprise platform in the purchasing and supply chain domain, helping it mature into a scalable, production-ready solution. This role is vital as it impacts system reliability, performance, and customer readiness, influencing complex decision-making across the product. You will work end-to-end in a modern AWS-based environment with a distributed team across the US and Europe, gaining real ownership and visibility over the product lifecycle in a collaborative, international setup.

Requirements

MUST HAVES

  • Strong full stack engineering background with 5+ years of experience building enterprise web applications, with solid knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and core software engineering principles.
  • Strong professional experience developing frontend applications using modern technologies such as JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, AJAX, React, Redux, and Webpack, including building responsive, cross-platform interfaces and integrating UX/UI designs into production-ready solutions.
  • 3+ years of professional Java development with strong OOP proficiency, experience with Spring Boot and Hibernate, and a solid background designing and consuming RESTful APIs within reliable backend systems.
  • Hands-on experience working with relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL, including designing efficient data models, writing performant queries, and exposure to NoSQL technologies such as Redis.
  • Experience working with cloud-based environments such as AWS, familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tooling, containerized systems using Docker, and exposure to Kubernetes, along with strong proficiency in Git and modern version-control workflows.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, excellent attention to detail, effective time management, and strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Upper-intermediate English level.

NICE TO HAVES

  • Experience with Vue.js and or Angular.js.
  • Experience building cross-platform responsive web applications.
  • Experience with Docker and or Kubernetes beyond basic exposure.
  • Prior experience with SCRUM or Agile methodologies.
  • Experience with purchasing, supply chain, or ERP systems.
  • Familiarity with observability, monitoring tools, and security best practices.
  • Experience tuning relational database performance.
