Job Description

Codie Sanchez is hiring a Senior YouTube Long-Form Writer who can transform business ideas into engaging, high-retention YouTube scripts. The role requires a deep understanding of YouTube as a business distribution engine, strong storytelling abilities, and a focus on entrepreneurship. The writer will produce 10–25 minute scripts covering topics such as buying businesses, investing, cash flow, acquisitions, wealth frameworks, and contrarian perspectives on money, work, and ownership.

Requirements for the Role

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience writing long-form YouTube scripts (links required)
• A strong business mindset and interest/knowledge of startups, finance, or SMB ownership
• Clear understanding of YouTube retention, hooks, and structure
• Exceptional storytelling instincts
• Ability to simplify complex ideas without dumbing them down

YouTube Long-Form Writing

• Write high-retention YouTube scripts (10–25 minutes) with strong hooks, clear arcs, and memorable frameworks
• Structure content for watch time, not essays
• Bring data-backed ideas to the table and continuously evolve the channel

Business Storytelling

• Translate complex topics like acquisitions and finance into relatable stories

Audience & Retention Thinking

• Write with an understanding of pacing, curiosity gaps, and psychological pull
• Focus on the first 30 seconds and the overall story roadmap

Voice & Authority

• Write in a sharp, contrarian, and intelligent tone
• Help evolve the YouTube voice as the channel scales

Speed & Execution

• Work quickly, meet deadlines, and improve through iteration
• View feedback as constructive rather than detrimental
