Job Description

NBC Sports Bay Area is hiring a part-time Multi-platform Video Editor to create compelling content across all platforms, with a focus on digital video content through studio and game productions. In this dynamic role, you will understand priorities, make quick decisions, communicate across multiple groups, and work under tight deadlines to deliver produced video in various formats. This position will report to the Manager, Video Producer/Editor.

Responsibilities include writing, editing and publishing videos on various websites and social media platforms using Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, AfterEffects, Photoshop, etc.), writing SEO-maximized headlines and descriptions, prioritizing the production of engaging, accurate, informative, and current content, and using digital analytics and audience awareness to inform video choice.

Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of one (1+) year of video production experience, preferably in sports.
  • Editing platform skills: Adobe Premiere, AfterEffects, and Photoshop.
  • Experience editing and publishing content in a fast-paced environment.
  • Solid writing skills, with knowledge of AP style and SEO.
  • Proven knowledge of Bay Area teams and general sports, and insights into fan interest driving content.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Audition).

Desired Characteristics:

  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
  • Composed approach to problem-solving, maintaining calm in high-pressure situations.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Proactive problem solver with ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision while being adaptable to various teams and the changing media landscape.
