Job Description

Phoenix Support Services is seeking an experienced and creative video editor to join our team! You will be responsible for creating short promo videos using a software drag and drop platform.

The Video Editor works as part of the Web Development Team and reports to the Team Manager. His specific tasks include:

• Designing web pages, brochures, logos, signs, books, magazine covers, annual reports, advertisements, and other communication materials.
• Creating these materials by hand or by using technology, including computer software programs.
• Meeting with web designers to gain an understanding of their desired web page aesthetics and incorporating illustrations, videos, and designs accordingly.
• Producing drafts for client review and making revisions based on feedback.
• Reviewing final productions for errors and ensuring layouts reflect client specifications, while studying design briefs to determine requirements.
• Conceptualizing visuals based on requirements and preparing rough drafts to present ideas.
• Using appropriate colors and layouts for videos.
• Working with copywriters and the creative director to produce the final design.
• Amending designs as needed following feedback.
• Ensuring final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on-brand.
• Creating and developing multimedia (audio/video) content for various purposes including customer stories, internal company announcements, external promotional videos, etc.
• Working independently, as well as part of a team, to establish project deliverables.
• Recording and editing video and sound projects, including organizing raw media, editing footage, sound files, creating graphics, titling, and managing media archives.

Requirements

• 3 years of experience as a graphics designer or in a similar role.
• Mastery of graphic design software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe Premier Pro, etc.
• Knowledge of video and audio editing software programs is a big plus.
• Solid knowledge of design and visual principles.
• Demonstrated portfolio showing creative, design, and software skills.
• Ability to evaluate choices critically with the customer’s needs in mind.
• Ability to communicate design choices clearly.
• Ability to take and follow direction, while also having a creative eye for improvements.
• Good time-management skills.
• Great interpersonal and communication skills.
• Great multi-tasking skills and ability to work under pressure.
• General understanding of computers and digital equipment and knowledge of new and cutting-edge technology.
