Job Description

This is a remote position for a Senior WordPress & Full-Stack Engineer with over 5 years of experience. The role is hands-on and execution-focused, requiring real-world experience in WordPress, WooCommerce, integrations, automation workflows, and performance optimization. Precision, reliability, and scalable engineering practices are essential for successful delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain advanced WordPress solutions, including custom themes and plugins.
• Build and customize WooCommerce functionality such as checkout flows, product logic, payments, shipping, tax, and order workflows.
• Implement full-stack features using PHP, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS with clean, secure, and maintainable code.
• Develop and integrate REST APIs and webhooks to connect WordPress with external platforms and services.
• Build and manage automation workflows across forms, CRMs, email/SMS systems, scheduling tools, and chat platforms.
• Optimize websites for performance, security, scalability, and reliability, including Core Web Vitals.
• Collaborate with designers and stakeholders to ensure strong UX, accessibility, and conversion-focused experiences.
• Proactively suggest improvements and architectural enhancements with a focus on long-term scalability.

Must-Have Qualifications (Non-Negotiable)

Advanced WordPress Development

• Custom theme and plugin development
• Deep understanding of WordPress architecture, hooks, and filters
• Experience with custom post types, taxonomies, and meta fields
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, standards-compliant code

WooCommerce Expertise

• Custom checkout flows and product logic
• Payment, shipping, tax, and order workflow customization
• Performance tuning and scalability optimization

Full-Stack Development Skills

• Strong PHP expertise (OOP, secure coding practices)
• JavaScript (Vanilla JS, jQuery, AJAX, REST interactions)
• HTML5 & CSS3 with modular, responsive, and mobile-first layouts

API & Integration Experience

• Consuming and building REST APIs
• Webhook implementation (send/receive, validation, error handling)
• CRM integrations such as HubSpot, GoHighLevel, Brevo, Salesforce, or similar

Automation & Omnichannel Systems

• End-to-end workflows: Form → CRM → Email/SMS → Scheduling
• Chatbot integrations (Messenger, WhatsApp, Web Chat)
• Lead segmentation, conditional logic, and event-driven automation

UX / UI Awareness

• Understanding of UX best practices and conversion-focused layouts
• Ability to collaborate with designers and identify UX issues
• Accessibility-aware, mobile-first development approach

Performance, Security & Reliability

• Core Web Vitals optimization
• Caching strategies and asset optimization
• Plugin discipline, site hardening, and security best practices
• Experience with staging, deployment, and rollback workflows
