Job Description

This position is remote and involves building SOA web services leveraging Spring security, OAuth and OpenID Connect (OIDC) protocols. The candidate will be responsible for design, development of Java/J2EE applications, executing test plans, and implementing software across multiple environments. The role contributes to end-to-end design, development, and delivery activities to implement secure data exchange infrastructure application solutions.

Requirements

Essential Skills:

• Strong experience in building complex enterprise applications using JAVA/J2EE technologies.
• Experience in developing Web Services using Spring Web Service.
• Experience in developing front end using Vue JS or Angular.
• Experience with IDEs like Eclipse, Visual Studio, Spring Suite, etc.
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience in implementing Java/J2EE solutions using JBoss and Tomcat.
• Strong JDBC programming experience in using Open JPA and other ORM tools like Spring Hibernate.
• Strong SQL and Database Programming Skills using Oracle/PostgreSQL.
• Experience with SOA principles and design patterns.
• SOA governance experience, including design and review of technical solutions.
• Familiarity with Build/Dependency Management using GIT or Azure DevOps.
• Knowledge of Security Frameworks including Web service Security and Java Security.
• Participation in strategic initiatives, system delivery specifications, and project phases.
• Management of tasks and deliverables to complete projects on schedule.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with JBOSS and/or other JEE Application Servers.
• Database experience with Oracle, PL/SQL Stored Procedures.
• Operating Systems and Environments - Unix/Linux, Windows.
• Expertise in application design & architecture, Enterprise Integration Patterns, Object-oriented programming.
• Understanding of User Interface design and web-based technologies.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems and automated build processes.

Skills

• 10 years of experience with object-oriented development Java/J2EE.
• 6 years of experience in developing using Hibernate, Spring Boot.
• 6 years of experience in web service design & development.
• 5 years of experience in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, Angular/React/VueJS.
• 5 years of experience with CI/CD process.
• Experience with Cloud technologies is a plus.

Other Information

This requisition’s current Purchase Order (PO) is funded through 6/30/26. Contract end date is contingent on final schedule and projected needs. Historically, additional funding should last a year and occur from 7/1/26-6/30/27.

First-round interviews will be conducted via Teams. Candidates must present a valid photo ID and pan the camera 360 degrees to ensure they are alone in the room during the interview.
