Job Description

1-800 Accountant is currently seeking a passionate, experienced instructional designer who can create and deliver educational materials for employee growth or career development. The candidate must have a foundational understanding of instructional design models that produce impactful, measurable results and improve individual and organizational knowledge. They must also be able to foster a collaborative, productive learning environment that captures the audience’s attention and helps them meet their development end goals.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate existing instructional content and modify to adhere to internal design standards and industry proven approaches.
• Develop or update courses, instructional materials, and other digital instructional information consistent with adult learning theory for delivery in online learning. Confirm course objectives are current and reflected in newly developed courses.
• Design and develop engaging, interactive, and instructionally sound materials that address various learning styles and are accessible to all learners.
• Design and produce learning materials in a variety of formats, including print, graphics, audio, video, animation, and multimedia, to support learning.

Requirements

• In-depth understanding of instructional design models and learning theories.
• Ability to navigate learning management systems.
• Proficiency in course development software (Articulate Rise and Storyline).
• Strong project management skills.

Additional Position Details

• Work Location: Remote.
• Remote Work: If you are a remote employee, you are only authorized to work from one of the approved states listed: AL, AZ, CT, FL, GA, HI, IA, ID, IN, MD, MN, NJ, NY, NC, OR, PA, TN, TX, UT, WA. Working while traveling to other states or countries is not permitted.
• Standard Operating Hours: 9:00am-5:30pm.
• Equipment: The company does not provide equipment for this role. However, we utilize Venn, a secure technology solution that creates a protected workspace on your personal device.
• Employment Type: Temporary W2, exempt role.
• Important Requirement: Information Security & IRS Compliance - As an accounting firm, we must adhere to strict federal data security guidelines associated with IRS Publication 4557. A mandatory security verification process must be completed on your first day.

Compensation

$4000-$6000 bi-weekly
