Job Description

This is a remote position with an opportunity for growth as part of our expanding team at Phoenix Support Services. We are seeking an experienced and creative video editor to join our Web Development Team. The Video Editor will create short promotional videos using a software drag-and-drop platform and report to the Team Manager.

The primary responsibilities include:

• Designing web pages, brochures, logos, signs, books, magazine covers, annual reports, advertisements, and other communication materials.
• Creating materials by hand or utilizing technology, including various computer software programs.
• Understanding web designers’ needs for proposed web pages and integrating illustrations, videos, and designs to mirror the desired theme and tone.
• Producing drafts for client review and modifying designs based on feedback.
• Reviewing final productions for errors and ensuring final layouts meet client specifications.
• Conceptualizing visuals based on specific requirements and preparing rough drafts to present ideas.
• Using appropriate colors and layouts for videos and collaborating with copywriters and the creative director to finalize designs.
• Making amendments based on feedback and ensuring final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on-brand.
• Developing multimedia content for various projects, including internal announcements, promotional videos, and corporate training.
• Working independently or as part of a team to establish project deliverables.
• Recording and editing video and sound projects while managing and archiving media.

Requirements

• 3 years of experience as a graphics designer or in a similar role.
• Mastery of graphic design software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and Adobe Premiere Pro.
• Knowledge of video and audio editing software programs is a significant plus.
• Solid understanding of design and visual principles.
• A demonstrated portfolio showcasing creative, design, and software skills.
• Ability to critically evaluate choices with the customer’s needs in mind.
• Clear communication of design choices.
• Ability to follow direction while also possessing a creative eye for improvements.
• Good time-management skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong multi-tasking capabilities and ability to work under pressure.
• General understanding of computers and digital equipment, along with knowledge of new and cutting-edge technology.
