We are building Sankofa Studios, a channel dedicated to bringing gritty, historical African mythology to life. No capes, no comic book tropes—just visceral, blockbuster-level documentaries.

I am the director and producer. I already have the visual generation pipeline locked down. For each project, I will provide you with:

A fully edited, professional voiceover track.

A finalized script and editing blueprint.

High-quality 4K visual assets (static images and kinetic AI-generated video clips).

The Role:
Your job is to take these raw pieces and forge them into a seamless 8-to-10-minute masterpiece. I need an editor who understands YouTube retention mechanics but cuts footage like a movie director.

Key Responsibilities:

Cinematic Assembly: You know when to speed ramp, when to let a shot breathe, and how to build tension. You will use smart zooms, optical flow morphs, and creative transitions to hide any imperfections in the AI generation and make disconnected clips feel like one fluid, continuous scene.

World-Class Sound Design: This is the most critical part of the job. The raw video clips are silent. You must bring the world to life with heavy impacts, cinematic risers, Foley (swords clashing, fire roaring, wind howling), and epic background scoring.

VFX & Polish: Add high-quality overlays (sparks, dust motes, weather effects, aggressive camera shake, light leaks) to give the footage that final 10% of organic realism.

The Ideal Candidate:
You are a storyteller. You have proven experience editing highly cinematic YouTube documentaries, trailers, or short films. (Please do not apply if your portfolio consists only of talking-heads, standard gaming Let’s Plays, or Alex Hormozi-style captions).
