Job Description
AbelCine is a leading provider of equipment, technology, and production services for the film, broadcast, and media industries, partnering with studios, networks, brands, and content creators nationwide. We are seeking a Freelance Production Video Editor for a defined, project-based engagement focused on crafting polished, story-driven case study videos. This onsite role is based in Midtown Manhattan, Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with occasional flexibility for urgent needs. We’re looking for a true storyteller—someone who shapes narrative, tone, and pacing with intention. Strong performance may lead to future project-based opportunities. If you thrive in fast-paced environments and can elevate case study content with precision and creativity, we’d love to connect.
Project Scope
The primary focus will be creating case study-style videos, heavily driven by interviews and b-roll, with provided animations and motion graphics elements. These pieces will showcase partnerships, impact, and strategic outcomes in a compelling and brand-aligned way.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit short- and long-form corporate and branded content, including case studies, executive messaging, and promotional assets.
- Craft elevated narratives that integrate interviews, b-roll, motion graphics, and data visualization.
- Shape projects from rough cut through final delivery with strong editorial judgment.
- Execute color correction, audio mixing, sound design, and final quality control.
- Integrate motion graphics, text overlays, and animations using After Effects.
- Perform green screen compositing and keying where needed.
- Prepare content for multiple platforms (social, internal, web, and marketing).
- Collaborate closely with producers, designers, and marketing stakeholders.
- Utilize Frame.io (or similar) for versioning and feedback cycles.
- Organize and manage assets within Media Asset Management (MAM) systems.
- Support rapid-turnaround edits and live production needs when required.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional video editing experience in corporate, branded content, or live production environments.
- Strong narrative instincts and ability to shape interview-driven storytelling.
- Expert proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects.
- Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.
- Demonstrated experience producing high-quality case study or brand storytelling videos.
- Experience with collaborative review platforms (Frame.io preferred).
- Familiarity with MAM systems (IPV Curator and/or Dalet a plus).
- Experience supporting live events and fast-turnaround content.
- Exceptional attention to detail across pacing, sound, branding, and final output.
- Ability to manage multiple deliverables under tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset.

- Approx. 6-week project duration
- Final delivery target: May 18th
