Job Description
Franklin University, a private, independent, accredited, not-for-profit University located in Columbus, Ohio, invites applicants for its Temporary Instructional Designer position. This role is part-time, requiring 15-20 hours per week, beginning in late May/early June. The successful candidate will support the International Institute for Innovative Instruction (I4) by collaborating with faculty and content experts to apply instructional design methodology and utilize appropriate technology for curriculum development and design.
This position offers a remote work schedule.
Requirements
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in developing curriculum, training, or technical documentation.
- Master’s degree in Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, Training and Development, or a related field.
- Application-level understanding of instructional design, adult learning, teaching methods, e-learning technologies, and effective use of AI.
- Demonstrated progression of challenging instructional design assignments.
- Excellent knowledge of issues related to e-learning, distance learning, and learning technologies.
- Demonstrated ability to work within teams and meet deadlines in a driven environment.
- Proficiency with web authoring tools, internet-related technologies, and course management tools.
- Proficiency with MS Office products, graphics applications, image editing software (e.g., Photoshop), and web-based conferencing applications.
