AXLE Films is a commercial video production company in Waterloo, Ontario, creating content for notable brands like Golf Canada and the Toronto Raptors. We prioritize storytelling, editing, and strong visuals to help brands stand out and are seeking a talented Editor/Videographer for an 8-month contract.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

• Edit commercial and branded video content
• Assist on production shoots when required
• Organize and manage large volumes of media
• Perform color correction and basic colour workflows
• Conduct sound mixing and audio cleanup
• Create motion graphics and light animation
• Collaborate with producers and directors to meet tight deadlines
• Manage multi-camera project timelines and deliverables

Required Skills:

• Strong editing proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro
• Experience with Adobe After Effects and the broader Adobe Creative Cloud suite
• Familiarity with collaborative review workflows using Frame.io
• Strong storytelling, pacing, and editorial judgment
• Excellent file organization and media management
• Ability to work with large multi-camera projects
• Knowledge of cinema cameras, lighting setups, and professional audio
• Experience using gimbals and drones

Nice to Have:

• Experience with colour workflows in DaVinci Resolve
• Licensed drone pilot
• Bilingual French/English

Additional Information

Compensation: $3,500 – $5,000 per month, depending on experience. Approximately 40 hours per week. Travel days paid at full day rate; travel bonus plus meals/incidentals are provided; travel and accommodations covered. Temporary employee contract position (no benefits).

Work Structure: Hybrid position based in Waterloo, requiring in-office work 2 days per week; other days may be remote or in-office with some travel required, approximately one week in June and one week in August.
