Job Description

We’re looking for a skilled video production contractor to support our on-site content workflow. Ideally, this person can handle both filming raw footage and editing finished videos, with editing being the primary focus of the role. This is a 1099 independent contractor engagement and not an employee position.

Our main priority is producing TikTok short-form vertical video content. The contractor will be responsible for filming raw footage on-site for TikTok content and editing that footage into finalized TikTok videos, following a repeatable editing process that matches our internal content standards. While filming is part of the role, editing is the higher priority.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates should:

• Have experience creating or editing TikTok-style short-form video
• Understand pacing, hooks, captions, and vertical video editing
• Be comfortable filming raw footage and editing it into final content
• Be comfortable working on-site with company-provided equipment
• Be open to process review and quality assurance around their editing workflow
• Prefer project-based work over traditional employment

Work Location

This role is in person at our office, with an on-site workstation provided, including computer and editing software. All content files remain on-site as part of our production workflow, and the setup can be aligned with the contractor’s preferred editing workflow.

Scope of Work

Initial project work may include:

• Filming raw TikTok footage on-site
• Editing TikTok videos from raw footage
• Delivering completed batches of TikTok content
• Following project briefs, content direction, and editing SOPs

All work is assigned and approved on a project basis or through a Statement of Work (SOW).

Tools & Workflow

• CapCut is preferred, as our SOPs are built around it
• Other editing software may be acceptable if you are highly proficient
• Should be comfortable working within a defined content process and receiving multiple rounds of review related to workflow and quality

Compensation

This engagement is project-based and tied to deliverables, with project scope, timelines, and pricing defined in advance for each engagement. Pay ranges from $25.00 - $30.00 per hour. Indeed requires an hourly range to be shown, but guaranteed hours are not available.
