Job Description

The CBS Sports HQ is hiring a temporary contractor for the role of Video Editor in Stamford, CT. The Video Editor will be a self-starter who supports CBS Sports HQ in distributing content created by shows and podcasts. Key responsibilities include scouring content for the best short- and long-form videos and editing those videos for distribution across all digital platforms.

Requirements

Your-Day-to-Day:

• Posting highlights and videos to cbssports.com
• Exercising editorial judgment in the selection of content
• Editing shows in accordance with rights clearances
• Supporting the development and production of digital media assets on CBS digital properties including Paramount+

Key Projects:

• Working and communicating with producers, associate producers, and production assistants to ensure all HQ content has been vetted for potential videos on demand (VODs), both short and long-form.

Qualifications: What you bring to the team:

• A minimum of 1-2 years of work experience in broadcast and digital, producing segments
• Strong communication skills to work effectively with different departments
• Time management skills
• Familiarity and working knowledge of digital video production techniques and online content management systems
• Basic video editing skills in Adobe Premiere
• Able to work flexible hours and on weekends

You might also have:

• The ability to work in a fast-paced environment, deal with intense deadline pressure, and continually react to breaking news with smart programming and creative storytelling
• A strong knowledge of major and minor sports is preferred

Compensation

Hourly rate: $25-$27/hr
