IN VEGANS WE TRUST is an online hub serving the worldwide vegan community through its 4 key departments: MARKETPLACE, SCHOOL, COMMUNITY, and eZine. We have an exciting opportunity for a CTO/Developer to join the team. You will be responsible for developing and managing development projects within a variety of exciting sectors as a core member of the IN VEGANS WE TRUST team. The role will be remote, allowing you the flexibility to work on days and times that suit you best. The ideal candidate must have an eye for good design and be driven by quality, outstanding UX, aesthetics, and efficient technical outcomes. Additionally, you will manage projects and oversee technical assets.

Responsibilities:

• Delivering quality, maintainable and performant code in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/jQuery
• Developing and maintaining responsive website solutions using the latest technologies and CRM integration
• Keeping up to date with the latest trends and techniques
• Developing cross-browser and cross-platform compatible solutions (including mobile)
• Willingness to constantly learn, adapt and develop
• Managing projects internally and maintaining oversight of technical assets
• Mobile App development (Android and iOS)

Requirements

Skills:

• Experience in PHP, CSS, Javascript, Java, HTML5, MYSQL, SEO
• Use CSS frameworks to create user interfaces (Bootstrap, Material Design)
• Keen eye for design detail, interaction, and animation with an ability to translate design concepts into fully realized websites
• Excellent time management and communication skills
• High standards on the quality of your own work and willingness to share your knowledge
• Experience with eCommerce platforms is a bonus
• Managing and developing plugins for WordPress

Desired:

• Experience in implementing page speed optimisation and autonomously improving multiple high-traffic sites
