This Lead Full Stack Engineer role requires advanced Japanese proficiency and lets you shape a versatile workflow automation platform, designing both frontend and backend solutions that boost operational efficiency. You’ll work closely with stakeholders in Japan, translating complex requirements into scalable systems while influencing architecture and driving impactful business outcomes.

Requirements

MUST HAVES

• 5+ years of experience
• Business-level to native Japanese proficiency, written and spoken — non-negotiable
• Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders and users in Japan
• Strong experience with Node.js as a primary backend language
• Experience building, extending, or operating automation platforms using n8n
• Python as a secondary language for backend services, scripting, or supporting components
• Experience with React for building modern, responsive interfaces and integrating frontend applications with backend services
• PostgreSQL – relational database design, querying, and optimization
• MongoDB – experience with NoSQL data modeling and document-based storage
• Strong experience building and maintaining REST APIs
• Experience integrating internal systems and third-party SaaS platforms
• Experience with Docker and containerized environments
• Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
• Comfortable working directly with users and partners to understand needs and ensure successful platform adoption
• Ability to translate technical capabilities into practical solutions for business teams
• Strong collaboration and communication skills in cross-functional and international environments
• Upper-intermediate English level

• Experience designing workflow automation systems
