Job Description

Are you a creative video editor who’s always on top of the latest social media trends? Do you love turning raw footage into engaging, outside-the-box content that pops on any feed? We’re looking for someone who does way more than just add text on a screen. You’ll be crafting full, engaging social media content that stands out in a crowded feed. This role will start on a per-project payment basis as we ramp up, and once we scale, you’ll move into a more consistent monthly arrangement with a steady flow of work.

Requirements

• Portfolio required
• Minimum 1 year of video editing experience for social media platforms
• Proven ability to edit from large content libraries (sorting footage, selecting the best clips, cutting filler, and assembling cohesive videos)
• Strong creative judgment — ability to make clients look their best, remove awkward moments, “ums,” pauses, and distractions
• Comfortable editing talking-head videos, creative skits, trend-based content, and storytelling edits
• Up-to-date with current social media trends, pacing, hooks, and formats
• Experience using stock video or image platforms (or willingness to learn the platforms we use)
• Strong attention to detail, visuals, pacing, and overall polish
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and communicate clearly
• Open to feedback and collaborative revisions (this is a creative partnership, not just task-based work)
• Basic understanding of branding, storytelling, and audience psychology
• Interest in growing with a creative agency long-term

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
