Job Description

South Carolina ETV (SCETV) is the state’s public educational broadcasting network, dedicated to amplifying South Carolina voices, providing educational experiences, and strengthening communities. SCETV seeks a talented Content Creator & Video Editor to enhance its social media presence through compelling educational storytelling and visually engaging content. This role involves creating, editing, and optimizing video content for social media platforms, developing engaging posts, and collaborating with the communications team.

Job Responsibilities

  • Create, edit, and optimize short-form and long-form video content for social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, etc.).
  • Capture and edit high-quality photos and videos in line with brand aesthetics and messaging.
  • Develop engaging social media posts, reels, and stories to drive audience engagement.
  • Edit videos using Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, CapCut, VEED, or similar editing platforms ensuring high-quality and platform-optimized content.
  • Stay updated on social media trends, emerging formats, and viral content.
  • Work closely with the communications and social media teams to develop content strategies.
  • Repurpose existing content into fresh formats tailored for different platforms.
  • Manage content organization, including file storage and version control.
  • Travel for on-location shoots, events, and content production.
  • Work after-hours or weekends as needed for events or timely content production.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, multimedia production, digital media, or a similar field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience in social media content creation and video editing.
