Job Description

Sportskeeda is seeking a Video Editor cum Motion Graphics Designer with over 1 year of experience. This role is a contract position focused on combining storytelling, sharp editing, and motion design to produce high-quality digital content and brand integrations. The primary responsibilities include video editing (50%), motion graphics (40%), and design (10%). The candidate will transform raw footage into engaging, platform-ready content while collaborating with Brand Solutions, Sales, Content, and Design teams.

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in:
• Adobe Premiere Pro (primary editing tool)
• Adobe After Effects (motion graphics)
• Working knowledge of:
• Photoshop / Illustrator (or equivalent tools)
• Strong understanding of:
• Video storytelling and pacing
• Motion design principles
• Typography and visual hierarchy
• Ability to create engaging, platform-native content.
• Attention to detail and visual polish.
• Ability to handle both structured briefs and open-ended creative tasks.

Key Responsibilities

1. Video Editing (Core Focus — 50%)

• Edit short and long-form video content across formats (YouTube, Instagram, platform integrations).
• Build strong narrative flow using raw footage, ensuring sharp pacing, clean cuts, and high audience retention.
• Create engaging edits aligned with modern digital content styles (sports, creator-led, social-first).
• Adapt content into multiple formats (vertical, square, landscape).
• Identify and highlight key moments, reactions, and storytelling beats.

2. Motion Graphics (40%)

• Design and integrate motion graphics that enhance video storytelling.
• Create text overlays, stat graphics, animated highlights, transitions, and visual effects.
• Develop motion systems that align with brand and platform guidelines.
• Ensure motion design is purposeful, clean, and non-intrusive but impactful.

3. Design & Static Assets (10%)

• Support with basic design requirements such as thumbnails, social media creatives, simple campaign visuals, and ad mockups.
• Assist in creating visual elements for video (frames, layouts, UI mockups).
• Maintain consistency in typography, color, and visual identity.

Additional Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Brand Solutions & Sales team on branded content and campaign executions.
• Build video + motion mockups to visualize campaign ideas for clients.
• Ensure all outputs are optimized for platform specs and performance.
• Work on fast turnaround timelines while maintaining quality.
