Freelance Video Editor & Documentary FilmmakerUrgent

SCG is looking for a freelance editor and documentary filmmaker to transform provided video footage and stills into polished short-form films under two minutes. You will follow creative directions from the producer or creative director and bring strong editorial judgment, rhythm, and visual taste to the work. All necessary assets and clear briefs will be provided, including scripts, VO timing, and references. The ideal freelancer has a strong cinematic portfolio and is proficient in Premiere Pro (preferred), Final Cut, or DaVinci Resolve. You should be fast, communicative, detail-oriented, and experienced in editing both vertical and horizontal formats. Experience working with documentary, luxury, hospitality, lifestyle, or spirits/cultural content is a plus. Typical work will include see–say videos with branding, motion cues, VO; cinematic tabletop edits; and multi-scene montages using subtle parallax and motion techniques. Start is immediate, with project or hourly arrangements possible depending on the scope.

Budget range:
$2,000-$5,000 depending on the project
