Job Description

AgileEngine is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to oversee production reliability and troubleshooting for a high-scale live hiring events platform for enterprise clients. The successful candidate will work closely with Client Support and GTM teams to diagnose and resolve issues across distributed backend systems built on Java, Spring Boot, and Kafka, ensuring compliance with service level agreements (SLAs). This role requires rapid execution, strong React frontend experience, and the capability to manage multiple concurrent projects.

Requirements

MUST HAVES

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong backend development experience with Java and Spring Boot
• Strong backend development experience with Python and Django
• Strong frontend experience with React
• Experience working with Kafka, GraphQL, and SQL and/or MongoDB
• Experience with build systems, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment processes
• Proven ability to ramp up quickly and take ownership of multiple projects simultaneously
• Experience troubleshooting and resolving production issues in live environments
• Experience with at least one of the following: Dagster, Data Lakes, or Amazon Athena
• Strong debugging and data-analysis skills for investigating production incidents
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Upper-intermediate English level

NICE TO HAVES

• Product Management experience or close collaboration with GTM and Engineering teams on prioritization initiatives
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude, Cursor, or Windsurf
• Experience mentoring or leading engineering teams in high-growth environments
