Job Description
This position requires travel with the roadshow and live event programming. Relocation expenses are not provided. We are seeking a highly creative, operationally agile, and emotionally intelligent Freelance Creative Producer / Director / Storyteller who will document a dynamic roadshow experience through compelling visual storytelling, production leadership, and content creation. The role involves capturing the energy, narrative, community engagement, and cultural significance of the roadshow while ensuring that the content reflects elevated aesthetics and intentional storytelling. The ideal candidate is equal parts producer, creative director, documentarian, storyteller, and execution-oriented operator. This is not a traditional videographer role.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in creative production, documentary filmmaking, branded content, live event media, experiential storytelling, or related fields.
- Strong background in documentary storytelling, creative production, content direction, or experiential media.
- Experience in traveling with productions, tours, campaigns, events, roadshows, or live activations.
- Experience leading editors and managing post-production workflows.
- Proficiency in video production, directing, photography, interview direction, and content editing workflows.
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, Premiere, Final Cut, DaVinci, or equivalent editing platforms preferred.
- Deep understanding of digital storytelling, audience engagement, and platform-specific deliverables.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Ability to pivot quickly with changing priorities.
- A service-driven attitude with a passion for exceeding expectations.
- Availability to work evenings and weekends as required and willingness to travel with the roadshow.

What You’ll Do
Roadshow Creative Capture & Storytelling
- Travel with the roadshow team to capture live events, behind-the-scenes moments, activations, community interactions, and cultural experiences.
- Lead creative storytelling and narrative development across roadshow content.
- Direct and produce documentary-style visual content in real time.
- Capture content for digital, social, editorial, and archival purposes.
- Develop story arcs that elevate audience engagement and emotional connection.
Production Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate closely with various teams to shape content strategies that extend impact.
- Manage production logistics and shot planning in dynamic environments.
- Support rapid content needs while maintaining high creative standards.
Post-Production Direction & Editorial Workflow
- Lead and manage the post-production workflow across internal and freelance editors.
- Create editing briefs and task assignments for editors and contributors.
- Review edits and provide clear, actionable creative feedback.
- Ensure narrative consistency and pacing across all deliverables.
- Maintain organized workflows and asset management across creative teams.
Physical Requirements/Work Environment
- Prolonged periods of sitting or standing while working on a computer for 8+ hours/day.
- Ability to travel and work onsite at live events.
- Ability to carry or manage light production equipment as needed.
Compensation and Other Information
Pay: $60.00 - $85.00 per hour.
