Job Description

AgileEngine is an Inc. 5000 company that creates award-winning software for Fortune 500 brands and trailblazing startups across 17+ industries. We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer with a strong backend focus to design and build Java and Spring Boot services while maintaining supporting Angular frontend components. This role involves leading the transition toward domain-driven architecture, architecting clean RESTful APIs, and working within cross-functional squads, dedicating approximately 70–80% of your time to server-side logic, performance, and system design.

Requirements

MUST HAVES:

• Advanced proficiency in Java (Spring Boot) and a solid working knowledge of Angular, with at least 3 years of experience;
• A strong grasp of Object-Oriented Design (OOD) and software design patterns;
• Deep experience building and consuming RESTful services with a clear understanding of standard API protocols;
• Experience working with relational databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle) and JPA/Hibernate;
• A passion for server-side logic, performance, and architecture;
• Upper-intermediate English level.

NICE TO HAVES:

• Experience working with spec-driven development or related (AI-Driven Software Development Life Cycle);
• Previous experience in the Loyalty or Fintech sectors;
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) and containerization (Docker);
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI);
• Experience refactoring legacy structures into modern, domain-driven architectures.
