Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Senior Video Editor with a minimum of 5 years of professional editing experience to join our content production team. The ideal candidate has strong storytelling abilities, advanced technical editing skills, and experience producing high-quality long-form video content for digital platforms, corporate media, podcasts, documentaries, interviews, or educational productions. The Video Editor will be responsible for transforming raw footage into polished, engaging, and professional 1-hour video productions that align with brand standards and audience expectations.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Edit and produce high-quality 1-hour videos from raw footage.
  • Organize, trim, and assemble video sequences into compelling narratives.
  • Add transitions, music, sound effects, subtitles, graphics, and motion elements.
  • Perform color correction and audio balancing to ensure professional output.
  • Collaborate with producers, content managers, and creative teams.
  • Maintain consistency in style, pacing, branding, and tone.
  • Meet project deadlines and manage revisions efficiently.
  • Optimize videos for platforms such as YouTube, websites, online courses, or social media.
  • Ensure all final exports meet required technical specifications.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of professional video editing experience.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating long-form video editing work.
  • Advanced proficiency in:
  • Adobe Premiere Pro.
  • Adobe After Effects.
  • Final Cut Pro or DaVinci Resolve.
  • Strong understanding of storytelling, pacing, and visual composition.
  • Experience with audio editing and color grading.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
  • Strong communication and time-management skills.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience editing podcasts, interviews, documentaries, or educational content.
  • Motion graphics and animation skills.
  • Familiarity with YouTube optimization and audience retention techniques.
  • Basic knowledge of graphic design tools such as Photoshop or Illustrator.

Deliverables

Each completed project should include:

  • Fully edited 1-hour video.
  • Intro/outro integration.
  • Basic motion graphics and transitions.
  • Clean audio mix.
  • Color-corrected final export.
  • Revisions as agreed upon per project.

Compensation Details

Rate: $400 USD per completed 1-hour edited video. Payment terms to be discussed prior to project start. Opportunity for ongoing, long-term collaboration based on performance.
