Job Description
AgileEngine is seeking a Mid-level Full Stack Engineer to support and evolve a live Hiring Events platform in a high-production, real-time environment. This role involves troubleshooting and resolving production issues across backend systems built on Java, Spring Boot, and Kafka while maintaining frontend experiences in React. The engineer will work closely with Client Support and GTM teams, take ownership of deployments, and manage production releases independently.
Requirements
MUST HAVES:
- 3+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Strong backend development experience with Java and Spring Boot
- Strong backend development experience with Python and Django
- Strong frontend experience with React
- Experience working with Kafka, GraphQL, and SQL and/or MongoDB
- Experience with build systems, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment processes
- Proven ability to ramp up quickly and take ownership of multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience troubleshooting and resolving production issues in live environments
- Experience with at least one of the following: Dagster, Data Lakes, or Amazon Athena
- Strong debugging and data-analysis skills for investigating production incidents
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Upper-intermediate English level
NICE TO HAVES:
- Previous Product Manager or cross-functional prioritization experience
- Experience working with GTM and client-facing teams
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude, Cursor, or Windsurf
- Experience leading teams, coordinating work across engineers, or acting as a technical lead
